 Here you can view our transparent, indicative pricing for professional language services in South Africa. Only services for which standard rates apply are listed. For other services, the prices are established by bilateral negotiations, given that client demands tend to vary widely. All the same, these standardised service rates will still vary slightly, depending on language pair, complexity, and deadline. All quotes are free and negotiable. Editing Prices

 Do you plan to submit a thesis, dissertation or an article soon? Tell us about the date, title, language, deadline and document size. 

All rates in ZAR. VAT excluded unless stated. Final quote based on word count and document complexity.

Notes:

1. Rates apply to English language documents. ESL-heavy text may incur a 15–20% surcharge.

2. Final price confirmed after 300-word sample review.

3. 50% deposit required before work starts. Balance due on delivery.

4. 1 round of revisions included for edits made by Oracle LSP, within 7 days of delivery.

Interpreting Rate Card

 

 NB Prices are slightly negotiable

Minimum booking 2 hours. Applies for bookings under 4 hours.

Overtime Rate

R1,500 per hour

Charged after 8 hours or outside 08:00-18:00. Billed in 30-min blocks.

Preparation Fee

R800 flat

For technical/glossary prep over 20 pages or >3 hours prep time. Waived for standard meetings.

Additional Charges

- Travel & Accommodation: Billed at cost for events outside Gauteng. Local travel within 30km of Pretoria/Johannesburg included in day rate

- Remote Interpreting: Same rates apply. Zoom/Teams platform support included. Tech setup fee R500 if Oracle LSP provides equipment.

- Cancellation Policy: 48h+ notice = free cancellation. 24-48h = 50% fee. <24h = 100% fee.

- Weekend/Public Holiday Surcharge: +30% on all rates.
